1 Peter 1:7 “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
Many times, when we are not yet deepened in our consciousness of God’s Word, when a challenge shows up, our first response is usually fear. And if we’re not careful, we’ll sink into that consciousness of fear when we should have grown to the heights of responding first by faith.
There’re different levels of tests that we go through. And at one level, we may need to be reminded to stand in faith and by faith. But the time comes when we should become ashamed of ourselves when we still have to be reminded to walk by the Word and by faith. This isn’t a proper representation of our growth level.
Growth brings higher responsibility, and higher responsibilities bring greater challenges. But as our challenges increases, so should our faith. So, with this thought, it behooves us to begin to make a conscious walk with the Lord as we feed our spirits with God’s Word, to see that our first response to a challenge, to a test or trouble shouldn’t be fear, self-pity or worry, but should be faith. Faith in God’s Word. Not faith coming from a reminder from another believer we’re suppose to be examples to, but a conscious response from our spirits by training.

It is at this point our hunger for the word needs to increase for more investment of God’s Word into our spirit. Growth brings a lot of expectation, but we must rise to the class of the growth of what is expected of us as we mature. Amen!
