Meditate On The Word Of God
Meditate On The Word Of God.
How long has the words of God dwell in you richly to bring forth result? Or does one only have to meditate on God words when they feel like all is okay or when in desperate wants or needs?
For according to the psalmists which says, Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer (Psalm 19:14 ). And he went further to say in Psalm 49:3 My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.
Most times, many of God children can have the memory of the circular life style in their heart as a result of what they have deeply put to their heart, by constantly saying it. I mean repetition of words or saying it and it became part of them; thinking about it and some have go beyond the extent to act it. As children of God, learning how to meditate should be our daily culture! You should ought not to deviate from it. Learning to speak and give ourselves in accordance to what the word of God has for you. Looking at Psalm 119:99 which says, I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.
What is meditation?
I could say meditations means to contemplate on important issue/matters of life, giving yourself to all that need your attention. But however, the dictionary term defined ‘meditation’ as: “Continuous and profound contemplation or musing on a subject or series of subjects of a deep or abstruse nature.”
When you adopt a positive meditating attitude, you become sensitive to boldly say that which God has said about you. No wonder the psalmist could say, “ He have the understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.”
What Meditation Does?
If you are a lover of the bible and have taken several of your times to go on search, then you should know that good meditation brings your expectation to realities. This is why God said to Joshua, Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Benefit of meditations
Meditation comes with several benefit for your life profiting, but some among them are:
1. Meditation makes you prosper: or, do wisely
Do you want to see people who do great in life, then consider them as people who have/has deeply meditate upon an ideas. This is what usually put you ahead of your peers. Ecclesiast 9:17 The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools. Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good. If you want to consider to be wise, or seen as the wise person you are to others, emulate to have a meditating time. Meditate upon the words of God, your thoughts, ideas, action and you shall stand out differently.
2. Meditation provide you with good understanding about deep truth others may never comprehend.
Wisdom is the principle things, get wisdom and in all the getting, have understanding. For Exodus 35:35 says, them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work.
Meditation give unto those who meditate daily in God words wisdom. This is wisdom to lead, wisdom to win, to reign in life.
3. Meditation in God words would help refrain your mouth from evil
You cannot be positive and be negative, neither can speak positive and get negative outcome. Meditation is also confessing God liberty over your life. Some of us know the power of negative confession, that if we try to use it to explain situation, we may start feeling the consequence about the spoken word. Proverb 18:21, Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Today let the word of God dwell in you richly to help build your meditating life. You shall prosper, Amen.
