Steps To Success
Good day Friends, and Season Greetings to You.
How are you today? And I hope you are doing great and bless.
While I wrote about ‘How To Identify Good Success‘ some months back, today I tend to look into step to success. How anyone can be successful in life, business, family and career.
Many persons in life want to become success and be identify as a well successful person. But there are basic principles that build you up to become an economic success, the God kind of success and all-round success in life which usually involves one to pay the prize.
These things are not what is easily achieve by hoping. But it takes something from you beyond the want or the taste of money. It’s called a burning purpose. This was the purpose that led to how I became an online [ blogger ].
- I am sure you are transform by the information you get through me, I am also sure you can be part of our daily updates. why not leave your email behind let me keep you informed with information, jobs and inspire you always.
Discovering way to success
“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. So, if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? Luke 16:10-11
I discover my purpose for hkitnob as a drive for purpose, not because of the money stuff I read about blogging, but because it brings me complete joy than most of some other things I want to achieve.
Jump forward to today and my website, that you are on right now, I say that because perhaps the craziest thing about this whole journey is that I wasn’t a “writer” in the traditional sense, and from a technical perspective I didn’t know the first thing about how to start a blog.
In the beginning, one thing that made me start blogging is because I wanted something, I could use to help impact some others who might be tiered about their physical state and have the burning fire within them to go towards their dreams. But the drive to do it is what brought me to where I am today.
Finding the way to success
Jeremiah 17:7 “But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.
Every way Is not a way! If such has been your attitude, those are not the way to make good success… There is much difference between struggling and working hard. But if you find yourself going beyond the normal route that contradictory step to success, then it’s time to know that every good success is from the Lord.
You must start somewhere to ge to your destination if really you are concern to have an achievement. Your dream must be tested with the application of settings goal and working towards it.
Setting Your path to Succeed
Nothing happens without reasons, but if there should be a good reason, then you should be consistent about your application to make step to succeed. i.e. set goals for yourself. What are your goals for the next 1 – 5 years? What do you see before setting that goal?
This is to point out that no success can materialize until goals are set and action is applied.
So, goal setting is the first step of success. It marks your first point toward success. It’s when you switch from a passive state to being involved in life.
Now let’s look at 7 reasons why it’s important to set goals.
1. Know Your Objectives
Your objectives will be your anchor throughout your life time. Without clear objectives, you lack a clear anchor to keep you rooted in the life process. This applies to everything else in life too.
2. Get In The Right Mental State To What You Aim Toward
Life is all about the right mental state of mind to move ahead. And if anyone lacks a positive and right mental state, it become a drag to attain success.
3. Take Control of Your Life
Many people today are sleepwalking through life. Even though they work hard, they don’t feel like they are getting what they want. That’s because they don’t have a direction of where they want to go, what they want to achieve. Students graduate and they’re not sure what to do with their life; adults work for years and are shocked when they reach their 30s/40s and they don’t know what to do next.
As Bill Copeland says, when you don’t set goals, you can spend your whole life running up and down and not achieve anything. In reality you’re just fulfilling others’ goals, not yours.
4. Get Maximum Results
Top performers and successful people all set goals. Kobe Bryant (NBA star), Mark Zuckerberg (co-founder of Facebook), Richard Branson (business magnate), and Elon Musk (CEO of SpaceX and Telsa Motors) all set goals. That’s because when you set goals, you have a vision to work toward. You ensure that you are pushing yourself to get the best results, rather than resting on your laurels and waiting for things to happen.
5. Creates Laser Focus
Goals give you focus. While a life purpose gives you a general direction, your goals give you laser focus as to what exactly to spend your time and energy on. Let’s say you set a goal to create a business. Even though you have no idea how to make it happen, the very act of setting a goal gives you a focal point.
Think of your energy as the input and the results as the output. When you have a goal, you create a focal point where your energy can be channeled to create maximum reward. For example, a goal to achieve certain number of clients to your business.
Same for a goal like to achieve straight A’s — here you prioritize and identify the key action steps to get top grades, such as picking the best class combination for optimal grades, studying past year exam papers, consulting your professors, and having a study timetable, while eliminating time wasting tasks like excessive use of social media and binge-watching TV shows. This then creates maximum results.
6. Be Accountable
Having goals makes you accountable. Rather than just talk, you are now obligated to act.
Be accountable to yourself, not anyone else. No one knows the goals you set. People also don’t stand to gain even if you achieve your goals. By setting specific targets, you can easily see if you are on track, and if not, what to do about them.
7. Motivate Yourself
Most times when or after setting goals, you may not have all or what it takes to get there, but this should be the most important aspect to motivate yourself.
Heb 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
When you set goals, you connect yourself with your innermost desires. They help motivate you and give you something to strive for. This is especially powerful if you’re not in a good place in life at the moment — your goals help remind you of the things you love, to redirect your focus away from the negative obstacles, and to reconnect you with your innermost desires.
If I ever lose motivation, I would meditate and focus on some of the most important goals in my life, such as all the people I wish to reach out to and help in the world. I would visualize the scenario with full clarity, as if it is happening now. This connects me with my inner self right away as I remember WHY (my deepest motivation), after which I’ll feel energized and get to work right away.
6. Be The Best
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success” Joshua 1:8.
Goals help you achieve your highest potential. Without goals, you default to a routine of activities that keeps you feel safe and comfy each day. But this familiarity is the nemesis of growth. It prevents you from growing. It denies you from tapping into your infinite potential.
By setting goals, you set targets to strive toward. These targets make you venture into new places and new situations that put you into growth mode. They make you stretch beyond your normal self and reach new heights.
In conclusion, start setting your goals. If you just take some time out to set your goals now, I can guarantee you that you will definitely get to where you want to be an make good success.
